Trainee DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and monitoring installed systems and infrastructure.
- Support in installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Help ensure high levels of system and infrastructure availability under supervision.
- Assist in monitoring application performance, identifying potential issues, and learning how to apply fixes.
- Participate in maintaining basic security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Learn to write simple scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Support senior engineers in the design and documentation of information and operational support systems.
- Provide initial (L1) support and escalate issues to higher-level engineers as needed.
- Work alongside vendors and IT team members to understand problem resolution processes.
- Work on a shift basis, including evenings or weekends, as required for operational coverage.
Key Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (final-year students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS/Azure knowledge is an advantage).
- Eagerness to learn cloud platforms, automation tools, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems is preferred but not essential.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, or similar) is an added advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Strong passion for learning new technologies and developing practical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must.
