We’re Hiring: Accountant
📍 Remote | Contract

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Accountant who can take full ownership of the company’s financial operations and reporting. This role requires more than just routine accounting – we need someone who understands the bigger picture, takes initiative, and ensures the financial health of the company through sound decision-making, forecasting, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

▪️ Take full responsibility for the preparation of monthly accounts, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
▪️ Manage cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds for operational needs.
▪️ Provide timely and accurate financial reports and insights to support strategic decisions by the management team.
▪️ Ensure all necessary financial data, schedules, and documentation are prepared in advance of year-end audits.
▪️ Liaise directly with banks, tax consultants, auditors, and the Inland Revenue Department for all regulatory, tax, and audit matters.
▪️ Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes to ensure smooth and accurate transaction management.
▪️ Ensure full compliance with financial and legal regulations, staying updated with any relevant changes.
▪️ Supervise and review subordinates’ work including payroll, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
▪️ Resolve vendor payment queries and manage fee disbursement processes efficiently.
▪️ Maintain up-to-date, real-time financial data in Xero, ensuring reliability and accuracy.

Qualifications:

✅ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
✅ Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
✅ Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
✅ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
✅ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
✅ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✅ Knowledge of local Tax laws is highly regarded.
