Job Title: Research Scientist in Biofuel
Location: Sri Lanka Insitute of Biotechnology (SLIBTEC) Pitipana, Homagama

Responsibilities:

Help the senior research staff in generating innovative ideas leading to hi-tech biotech research and expand the future scope of SLIBTEC research congruent with national and international biotechnology research requirements
Securing international funds/grants for research and technical assistance for SLIBTEC
Execute SLIBTEC research to deliver expected outcomes on time
Communicate research results through conference presentations, scientific publications, or project reports
Confer with departments such as marketing, business development, and operations to coordinate product development or improvement
Willingness to work in both research and services-related work

We are looking for PhD in Biofuel:

PhD in Biofuel Technology with expertise in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related field.
Expertise in biofuel production pathways (microbial, algal, plant-based, or waste-to-energy) and sustainabilityfocused fuel development.
Hands-on experience with Molecular Biology, Metabolic Engineering, fermentation, bioreactors, and analytical methods (HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS).
Strong publication record and demonstrated ability to design, optimize, and scale biofuel production processes.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and project management skills, with capacity to work in multidisciplinary and industry-academic collaborations.
