Research Assistant Positions – Language Technology

We are hiring full-time Research Assistants to work on funded projects in Large Language Models (LLMS) and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), supported by DAAD and Google.

Work location: Department of Computer Science, University of Jaffna

Eligibility:

*4-year degree in CS/IT/Engineering

*Advanced Python skills

*Experience in LLMs/ASR/NLP (preferred)

*Passion for language technology

*Tamil language expertise

*Publication experience is an advantage

Responsibilities:

*Research on LLMS, ASR, and NLP

*Work with local + international teams

*Development, evaluation, and data tasks

*Full-time research commitment (and register for a Master’s or PhD at the University of Jaffna)
