WE ARE HIRING Mechanical Engineer – Tooling

Responsibilities:

Manage the complete tooling lifecycle: design, development, validation, industrialization, and continuous improvement.
Lead the Tool Creation Request (TCR) process per industrialization requirements.
Design and develop tooling, jigs, fixtures, mechanical devices, and assembly equipment ensuring manufacturability and specification compliance.
Prepare tooling drawings, 3D models, spare parts lists, maintenance manuals, and technical documentation.
Initiate tooling purchase orders and coordinate fabrication, validation, delivery, and shipment with suppliers.
Coordinate homologation and integration of new tooling with manufacturing specialists and process engineering.
Troubleshoot tooling-related production issues to minimize downtime.
Support purchasing with quotations, technical evaluations, supplier assessments, alternative materials, and tooling duplication.
Ensure tooling and device construction, validation, and implementation meet functional and quality requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
1–2 years’ experience in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and CAD software.
Strong proficiency in CAD/CAE software for 2D/3D modeling.
Independent worker with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent documentation skills.
Fluency in English and Sinhala.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
