Join Our New Product Development Team! | CAD Drafter Intern (NPD)
Ultra Aluminium (PVT) LTD is expanding its team, and we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated professional to join our New Product Development (NPD) department in Batticaloa. This is a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate or a technical student to gain hands-on experience in the aluminium extrusion industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and update 2D AutoCAD drawings for aluminium extrusion profiles under technical supervision.
Develop detailed profile cross-sections including dimensions, tolerances, and technical notes.
Maintain accurate drawing filing, versioning, and revision control procedures.
Support trial extrusion activities by updating drawings based on production and QA feedback.
Coordinate effectively with QA, Die Room, and Production teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Prepare technical data sheets and drawing sets (DWG/PDF) for internal review and approval.
What We Are Looking For:
Undergraduate qualification in Drafting, Manufacturing, B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying (QS), or a related technical field.
Mandatory basic working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D drafting).
Prior exposure to engineering design, structural analysis, or SolidWorks/3D modeling is a major advantage.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic document handling.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex technical instructions.
Comfort working within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
