Software Engineer

Deadline:- 16th August 2026

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our product engineering team. The role is primarily focused on automated non-functional testing (NFT), authoring and maintaining BDD-style test scenarios for our in-house NFT test suite, with additional development work assigned based on capacity and sprint priorities.

πŸ“Œ Key Responsibilities

● Design, write, and maintain test scenarios covering different test cases.
● Develop and extend the reusable Cucumber/BDD step definition library, mapping business-readable scenario steps to test commands.
● Collaborate with architects and business analysts to translate non-functional requirements into well-structured, parameterised test scenarios.
● Review and refactor existing scenarios and step libraries for reusability, readability, and maintainability.
● Validate test scenario output against expected results, latency thresholds, and business-cycle timing objectives.
● Take on general development tasks (APIs, test agents, reporting components, CI/CD scripting) as allocated based on sprint capacity.
● Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design discussions.

πŸ“Œ Required Skills & Experience

● Minimum 3–4 years of professional software engineering or test automation experience, with meaningful exposure to the capital markets / financial exchange technology industry (e.g. trading, clearing, settlement, custody, or market data systems).
● Strong programming ability in Java and TypeScript/Node.js.
● Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON-based service integration.
● Familiarity with financial messaging protocols such as FIX, ITCH, OUCH or similar structured messaging standards used in trading or post-trade processing.
● Comfortable working with Git-based version control and collaborative code review processes.
● Good analytical skills with the ability to translate non-functional requirements (latency, throughput, failover, etc) into concrete test scenarios.
● Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to document technical work for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

▢️ Nice to Have

● Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Behave, and writing Gherkin feature files.
● Exposure to performance/load testing tools such as Gatling, JMeter, or Locust.
●Understanding of Kubernetes-based deployments and container orchestration basics.

πŸ”· What We Offer

● The opportunity to work on mission-critical, high-throughput systems for the capital markets industry.
● A collaborative engineering culture with structured code review and technical documentation practices.
● Opportunities to grow into broader test architecture and platform engineering responsibilities.
● Attractive compensation with other benefits.
● Salaries paid in SGD.

If you’re a detail-oriented engineer, highly analytical, and excited about building robust frameworks, we’d love to hear from you!
