ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
Job Summary:
Responsible for accounts payable function of the finance department of the company in terms of handling various types of payments as per the company policy procedures and management guidelines
The main job functions of this position will include,
● Invoicing Purchased Order-based payments and other direct payments.
● Initiating payments in the Bank system
● Processing advance payments
● Settling Supplier advances
● Processing cheque payments
● Preparing weekly payment schedule on Monday in every week while ensuring payments are being paid within due dates.
● Clearing of GRIR balances.
● Managing petty cash Operation
The suitable candidate should possess,
- Passed GCE A/L exam at preferably in Commerce stream.
- Partly completed CIMA / CA qualification.
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in payable function in a similar capacity preferably in the Manufacturing sector.
- Having good verbal and written Sinhala & English language proficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Age should be below 30 years.
