Opportunity:- M.Sc. (by Research) in Civil Engineering at the University of Moratuwa

Research Focus: Development of a Multi-Year Road Asset Management Plan Considering Climate Change Impacts

Location: University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka

Duration: 12 months

Stipend: Rs. 60,000 per month, with potential additional support of up to Rs. 30,000 per month through project assistantships.

Project Description:- This project, funded by the National Science Foundation, Sri Lanka, aims to:

🔹 Develop a cost-effective pavement condition monitoring system tailored for low-volume roads in Sri Lanka.

🔹 Identify key condition monitoring parameters and formulate a pavement performance model incorporating regional data, climate conditions, and diverse pavement types.

🔹 Develop an optimization model to improve maintenance planning.

🔹 Consider the impacts of climate change on asset management planning to promote sustainable infrastructure.

Requirements:-

🔹 A strong academic background in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.

🔹 Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.

🔹 Familiarity with GIS software.
