DevOps Engineering Internship

Onsys International (Pvt) Ltd is offering a 12-month internship for a DevOps Intern in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
This hands-on opportunity allows you to work with real DevOps tools, pipelines, and environments, providing valuable experience in the field.
Key responsibilities include:
– Assisting in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
– Working with GitLab CI/CD and/or GitHub Actions (workflows, runners, artifacts, secrets)
– Supporting containerization with Docker and deployments into Kubernetes
– Helping configure and troubleshoot HAProxy and NGINX (reverse proxy, routing, SSL/TLS basics)
– Supporting Linux administration (services, logs, permissions, automation basics)
– Assisting with network troubleshooting (DNS, ports, firewall concepts, HTTP/HTTPS)
– Implementing and maintaining monitoring using Prometheus and dashboards/alerts in Grafana
– Documenting changes, updating runbooks, and supporting operational best practices
We are looking for candidates with:
– Solid basics in Linux – Understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts
– Exposure to Docker – Familiarity with Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, deployments, services, ingress)
– Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, routing)
– Exposure to Prometheus and Grafana
– Exposure to NGINX and/or HAProxy (config basics is enough)
Nice-to-have skills include:
– Ingress controllers, Helm, GitLab runners
– Bash/Python scripting
– Cloud basics (Azure/AWS/GCP)
– Observability concepts (metrics/logs/tracing)
