About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Information Systems Engineer to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in information systems, a passion for learning, and a proactive attitude toward driving improvements in technology and operations.
This role requires a hands-on professional who is eager to grow, explore new technologies, and ensure the smooth running of our IT systems, with a strong focus on hospitality applications such as PMS, POS, and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of hospitality systems (PMS, POS, ERP).
Ensure operational efficiency of IT infrastructure and processes across departments.
Work closely with operational teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Conduct periodic systems and process audits to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Coordinate and conduct regular staff training sessions to improve system usage and knowledge.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for support and implementation.
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in existing systems and workflows.
Ensure data security, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans are up to date.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent.
Microsoft certification (e.g., MCSA, Azure, or Microsoft 365) – added advantage.
Solid understanding of IT systems and infrastructure, preferably in a hospitality context.
Experience or working knowledge of PMS, POS, and ERP systems – highly preferred.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Willingness to go the extra mile, learn new areas, and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or certification in Finance – an added advantage.
Prior experience in the hospitality industry.
Experience in project management and system upgrades/migrations.
Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
