Weโre Hiring: Professional News Video Editor (Remote)
We are relaunching a popular Sinhala news YouTube channel and are looking for an experienced video editor to join our team.
Important: Candidate must have minimum 2 yearsโ experience working at a TV or digital news channel as a video editor.
๐๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐:
- Edit daily news videos from field correspondents
- Add lower-thirds, headlines, news tickers, intros/outros, text overlays
- Upload videos to YouTube with correct titles, descriptions, tags, scheduling
- Create basic thumbnails as part of editing process (if needed)
- Ensure videos meet YouTube guidelines (copyright, monetization compliance)
๐๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ:
- Minimum 2 yearsโ experience in TV or digital news channel as video editor
- Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, daily schedules
- Experience uploading via YouTube Studio
- Must have own editing setup + reliable internet for remote work
