Vacancy Announcement: Assistant Project Officer

Équité is seeking a dynamic and committed Assistant Project Officer to support the implementation of its ongoing human rights and community development projects. The ideal candidate should have a passion for social justice and the ability to work closely with the LGBTIQ+ community across the country.

Key Responsibilities-
Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring project activities in line with community needs.
Ensure timely execution of project plans and contribute to effective project management.
Support the preparation of documentation, including comprehensive reports and records.
Liaise with community members and stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships.
Travel across Sri Lanka as required for project activities and coordination.

Required Qualifications-
Proficiency in reading writing in Tamil
A Diploma or certificate course in Human Rights, Sociology, Social work or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work respectfully with LGBTIQ+ community.
