VACANCY – ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
🔧 (For a Reputed Company in Sri Lanka) We are seeking a dedicated and technically sound Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge in electrical systems and hands-on experience in maintaining industrial electrical installations.
Position: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Colombo
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background: BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
Professional Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
Proven ability in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency repair of electrical systems and equipment. Technical Skills: Familiarity with PLC systems, motor control centers (MCCs), transformers, switchgear, and power distribution. Competency in handling testing equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining safety standards.
Hands-on experience with energy monitoring, backup power systems (generators, UPS), and earthing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance of electrical installations.
Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems and equipment.
Monitor power usage and ensure energy efficiency.
Supervise and coordinate with contractors and technicians.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports.
Ensure compliance with CEB, IEE, and local electrical standards.
Other Requirements: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergencies.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Willingness to work on rotational shifts if required.
