We’re Hiring – Mechanical Engineer 📍

Location: Kottawa – On-site

🕒 Full-Time Position

💰 Salary: LKR 100,000 – 125,000 per month

About Us: At Idea8, we transform ideas into real-world hardware products through cutting-edge mechanical and electronic integration. We’re currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support product development across various robotics, automation, and IoT projects.

What You’ll Do: –

• Design and develop mechanical systems for custom-built devices

• Collaborate with electronics and software teams for complete product integration

• Create 3D models, technical drawings, and mechanical assemblies

• Support rapid prototyping and production processes

• Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and DFM/DFS considerations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

✅ Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)

✅ Experience in prototyping and product development

✅ Understanding of materials, mechanisms, and manufacturing techniques

✅ Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams

✅ Strong problem-solving and time management

skills Nice to Have:

• Exposure to embedded systems or electronics

• Hands-on experience with 3D printing or CNC machining

• Familiarity with thermal and structural simulations
