Role Description:-

The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank and supplier accounts.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and management reports, monitoring cash flows, assisting with budgeting, and supporting cost control within production and operations.

The role also involves handling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting, and coordinating with internal teams and external auditors.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo, requiring regular collaboration with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications:

Strong foundation in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.

Experience with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.

Knowledge of local tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and audit support processes.

Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets; ability to work with ERP or inventory systems is an advantage.

Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and maintain confidentiality.

Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; part or full professional certifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA) are an added advantage. Prior experience in the apparel or manufacturing industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
