Moodle Developer

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Moodle Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Moodle implementation, customization, and management, with a focus on delivering engaging and interactive learning experiences.

You’ll collaborate closely with academic and training teams, IT support, and project stakeholders to enhance our learning management system.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead the end-to-end implementation and management of the Moodle LMS.

– Collaborate with academic and training teams to develop and deliver engaging, interactive learning experiences.

– Customize and configure Moodle plugins, themes, and modules as per business requirements.

– Manage user roles, permissions, and data security within the LMS. Integrate Moodle with third-party tools, APIs, and content repositories.

– Monitor LMS performance, perform upgrades, and ensure platform stability.

– Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers and administrators.

– Troubleshoot issues, resolve bugs, and maintain documentation for all Moodle-related processes.

– Ensure compliance with data protection and accessibility standards.

– Liaise with vendors, IT support, and project stakeholders for system enhancement and support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

– 3+ years of hands-on experience in Moodle development and administration.

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

– Proficient in Moodle architecture, customization, and API integration.

– Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

– Experience with Moodle plugin and theme development.

– Familiarity with Moodle’s security best practices and data management.

– Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.

– Ability to troubleshoot complex Moodle issues and optimize performance.

– Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.

– Experience with single sign-on (SSO) integrations and LTI standards is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

– Experience with Moodle LMS application development.

– Familiarity with cloud hosting environments (e.g., AWS/Azure) for Moodle deployments.

– Knowledge of various educational technologies and e-learning standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).

– Experience with automated testing for Moodle environments
