WE ARE HIRING: Cost Accountant (Ekala / Ja-Ela)

CanTec Printing and Packaging (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka’s No. 1 largest can manufacturer with over 17 years of excellence in quality packaging, is looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling production costs while supporting management with accurate financial data for strategic decision-making.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis: Prepare and analyze product costing, monitor material, labor, and overhead costs, and conduct variance analysis to investigate discrepancies.

Financial Planning: Maintain standard costing systems, update cost data, and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning workflows.

Inventory & Reporting: Monitor inventory valuation and stock movements while preparing management reports related to production costs and profitability.

Compliance: Support monthly and annual financial activities and ensure strict compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

📋 Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Fully or partly qualified in CIMA, ACCA, CA Sri Lanka, or equivalent.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of costing techniques and inventory management.

High proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
